Jim brings a career of healthcare planning and operations, finance and marketing skills to his role as an Asana Certified Pro. He is Lean Certified in quality and performance improvement, Board Certified and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Jim has led and presented topics on healthcare strategy, marketing, alignment and collaboration, and the application of evidence-based medicine, quality, and Lean process improvement to improve healthcare delivery and outcomes. His healthcare career has spanned health system, hospital, and medical group operations with added emphasis in finance and marketing, primarily in the western states. In addition to his executive roles, Jim has served on numerous business and professional association boards, including President of the WA state healthcare executive's group, and served 2 terms as the only non-Radiologist on the RSNA Quality Improvement Committee. Jim currently serves as President of Talenza, a healthcare management consulting firm, with focus on startup healthcare and technology companies solving healthcare’s biggest challenges. At the University of Minnesota, Jim received his MHA in health strategy and policy from the School of Public Health, and an MBA from the Carlson School of Management. Additionally, he has his master’s degree in English from Indiana University, and as a Senior Fellow, obtained his bachelor’s degree in English and economics from Dartmouth College.
